The missing Clark County Coroner was found dead Friday afternoon in room at the Best Western Motel Richmond, Kentucky.

Police first reported 45-year old David Jacobs missing June 27. Richmond Police believe that's the same day Jacobs checked into the motel room there.

Police say they were called to the motel on the Eastern Bypass near exit 87 after someone found a deceased body in one of the rooms just before one this afternoon. Investigators say Jacobs apparently took his own life using prescription drugs.

The official cause of Jacob's death will not be determined until the state medical office performs toxicology tests. Richmond Police do say there is no indication of foul play.
