Lexington State Representative Kathy Stein confirms she will run for state senate if longtime State Senator Ernesto Scorsone steps down.

There is speculation in political circles that Scorsone will be appointed to the circuit judgeship vacated by Sheila Isaac.

Stein, who represents the 75th district in the house, says top democrats have urged her to consider the senate seat.
