Proposed Ordinance Could Stop The Music

By  |

For many Kentuckians a great night out on the town during the summer means sitting outdoors with the serenade of a live band.

However that could all change tomorrow if a noise ordinance amendment passes the Richmond City Commission. The new rule would ban all types of outdoor music after 10 P.M. this not only includes businesses, but residents as well.

One business owner says if the ordinance passes it would hurt the city and be a backwards step.

Lawmakers say they will not hold a public hearing on this issue. However, if citizens show up to tomorrow's commission meeting they may be allowed to voice their opinions.
