Ambulance Crash Sends Two Paramedics To Hospital

They were rushing to help others but ended up in the hospital themselves

A pair of EMS workers in Mercer County were hurt Tuesday morning when their ambulance slammed into a dump truck on Mooreland Avenue.

The ambulance was responding to an emergency call when it tried to pass the dump truck that turned in front of it. The truck driver told police he didn't hear the sirens.

People who live near the scene say the road is dangerous.

The EMS director says emergency response times will not be effected by the accident.

The two EMTs were checked out at the hospital and released.
