CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WKYT) - Road crews in Harrison County say they'll be ready to go once the snow starts falling Saturday.

They spent Friday getting ready for the winter storm by loading trucks with salt, and putting chains on the tires.

Harrison County road crews say they have plenty of salt on hand. They just received a new shipment Friday.

"We've been real fortunate this winter," Harrison County Roads Supervisor James McCarty said. "We've been able to keep it (the salt) mixed up. We've been able to get salt on a steady stream, and it's been coming in within a two day call notice."

Officials with the Harrison County Road Department say so far, they've used half of the money they had budgeted for snow removal this winter.
