The case against a former EKU football player is headed to the grand jury.

Davin Walker's attorney asked in court Wednesday morning that his client's first degree robbery charge be decreased, but the judge denied that request.

Officers say Walker shoplifted from the Richmond Wal-Mart, and while trying to get away, pushed a 69-year-old woman into a shopping cart, causing her to fall.

The woman lost part of her thumb in the incident.

Walker pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Yet another case of "don't punish him so severely". He will most likely get off scott free. Our justice system makes me sick.

a shoplifting becomes robbery when you use force or injure some one during the act let him serve the time that meats the crime he could have stopped and gave up but no he knocked down the manager and hurt a elderly lady that made it robbery

Why bother with the trial, he is guilty, guilty, guilty. Just a waste of tax payers money and time.
