WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Brammer Hill Ridge Rd, where houses are few and far between, and where neighbors say death investigations are very rare as well.
A Pulaski County Sheriff’s deputy came here looking for an elderly woman who had not been seen in months. State police detectives were called when a body was discovered at a vacant home, almost 20 miles from Somerset.
“It was scary knowing we got kids right here in the area, all kinds. It’s always been a safe neighborhood,” said a woman who did not want to be identified.
She and others have a lot of questions of who the person might be…and how and why their body was at the house. Neighbors do say the people who once lived here moved out in November. They used to drive to Somerset every day where they worked on computers.
“I never did hear anything bad on them, They always seemed nice. Always spoke,” the woman said.
Police are not releasing the name of the person they’re looking for nor other specifics of the missing person case. They have referred all other questions to state police. And it’s the uncertainty in this quaint area of Wayne county that has people concerned.
“I don’t like being outside after dark now,” she said.
State police continue their investigation..and say that they should know a lot more once all the evidence from the autopsy is received.
