A murder investigation is underway in Wayne County after police found a woman's body in an abandoned car.

The coroner says Monticello police found 24-year-old Julie Burchette's body on Friday night when they went to check out the abandoned car.

The coroner says her death is being investigated as a murder. He says Burchette was stabbed.
