Police in Richmond are now investigating the death of an elderly woman as a murder.

Police initially thought 78-year-old Joann Tribble died from injuries she suffered during a fall.

Tribble was found unconscious at a home on Teakwood Drive in Richmond, early Monday morning. She had a serious head injury.

Tribble was taken to Pattie A. Clay Hospital and later transferred to UK Hospital, where she died.

Police did not suspect foul play at first, but an autopsy showed Tribble died from a blow to the head.

So far, there's no report of any suspects in this case.
