Employees at Kentucky State University learned Friday afternoon they will get a raise.

The State Journal says the KSU Board of Regents approved a two percent raise for faculty and staff. The paper says the raise will take effect January first.

The board said it would discuss a possible raise and bonus for its president at a later date.

Well, that's exactly double the raise I will get as a state employee this year (and next). Everything is going up, the Gov won't mandate 4-day workweeks, his cronies refuse to do it, and even the cost of food in our cafeteria has went up 10 percent. So it makes one wish that they worked for KSU or the federal government instead of the state, which wastes it's money on pet projects and pork-barrel spending (and don't forget widescreen TVs for the legislative offices) instead of spending it on the people who actually enable the government to function.
