Close to three months after a 16-year-old Clark County boy was burned in a house fire, he may soon leave UK Hospital, but the road to recovery is still long and challenging for Timothy Desjadon.
His family says he may be moved to a rehabilitation hospital as early as Monday, but they're not giving up hope the teen will one day come home.
Desjadon was seriously burned back in May when an electrical cord caught fire in his Winchester home. That caught a piece of plastic on fire, which fell in Desjadon while he slept.
He was burned over 50 percent of his body and physicians told his family that he only had a twelve percent chance of surviving. Some ten surgeries later, he is now listed in fair condition.
Relatives say Timothy Desjadon is eager to get on with his life once he recovers. He hopes to attend college on a National Guard scholarship.
