A standoff ended peacefully in Johnson County on Friday afternoon after police say a man barricaded himself in his home with guns and threatened to hurt his family.
It happened in the Powell Addition neighborhood in Van Lear.
Police say the man's wife called 911 after he tried to hurt her, and when officers arrived, the man made other threats.
Officers say the woman and children got out safely.
Police say they talked to the man on the phone for several hours, and he finally agreed to surrender.
As of now, no charges have been filed and authorities say they're still investigating.
