Driver In Crash That Killed Lexington Pedestrian Now Facing Charges

Nearly a year after a Lexington man was hit and killed by a Porsche, the driver is now facing charges.

40-year-old Sheila Whitler is now charged with 2nd degree manslaughter.

Police say she was driving her Porsche along Man O'War Boulevard last November, when she slammed into 31-year-old John Vice, as he crossed at the Lyon Drive intersection.

He later died at the hospital.

Whitler was not arrested, only summoned to appear in court later this month.

The Vice family says members have been in contact with police getting updates on the investigation. The family says there are still unanswered questions about the details of the accident and the charges.
