Kitchen fire damages Lexington apartment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - There were some frightening moments in a Lexington apartment building Monday night when a fire broke out.

The fire started just after 9 p.m. along Cambridge Drive.

Firefighters say a woman left her apartment for a moment, but when she came back, her kitchen was on fire.

Firefighters evacuated everyone in the building, but they kept the fire from spreading beyond that one apartment.

No one was injured.

Firefighters think a stove caused the fire.
