Cleanup is underway at a Lexington apartment building after a car crashed into it early Friday morning.

Police say a car was on Hi Crest near Eastland Parkway when it hit a fence.

The car then went onto Augusta Court.

The car then went down a small stairwell and went into the laundry room of the apartment building.

The two people inside the car ran away.

Police say there was no major damage to the building.
