Inmate Charged For Biting Jail Guard

A Jessamine County inmate faces additional charges after a fight at the jail injured a guard.

Jail officials say they were moving inmate Eric Seivers to another cell when he turned on two guards, hitting one in the chest and biting off the tip of another guard's finger.

The guard was taken to the hospital to be tested.

The Jessamine Journal reports Seivers now faces charges of second and third degree assault on a corrections officer.
Both are felonies.
