WILLARD, KY -- Authorities are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found in rural Carter County, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader in its Sunday edition.
Kentucky State Police say they received a report that there were human bones at a rural site in the Willard area.
State police say detectives found the remains and notified the Carter County coroner and a forensic pathologist with the state medical examiner's office.
The remains are thought to be those of an adult male. State police have not said whether foul play was involved, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader.
