Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Drivers are being asked to avoid eastbound Interstate 64 near Frankfort because of a diesel spill.
State transportation officials say a tank on a commercial vehicle ruptured, causing between 50 and 60 gallons of diesel fuel to leak onto the road. It happened at mile marker 47, just west of Frankfort.
Crews are on the scene cleaning up the spill. At one point, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said both eastbound lanes were closed.
At 10:15 p.m., Franklin County dispatchers told us one eastbound lane had reopened. They think the other lane will reopen around 11 p.m.
