After a search that lasted hours, a missing central Kentucky hiker has been found safe.
A 27 NEWSFIRST crew actually spotted George Miller Tuesday morning and told a nearby ambulance crew. He was found along Pekin Pike in Jessamine County.
Miller's nephew, Eric Miller, told police he went for help Monday night while the two were hiking after George Miller told him he had a foot injury. George disappeared before Eric returned.
Eric Miller called 911 around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. Emergency workers set up a command post on Pekin Lane, near US 68 and Kentucky 33.
George Miller is actually now in jail, facing a parole violation.
