Estill County Burglaries Linked To Blocked Calls

It may not seem like a big deal. The phone rings, but the number doesn't show up on the caller ID.

Investigators say many people in Estill County have recently received the calls. But some of those who did not answer later found their homes were broken into.

At least four homes have been broken into over the last several days.

Each victim has a similar story. The phone rings, and the number doesn't show up on the caller ID.

If no one answers the phone, or if no one is home, the burglars then go to the home and break in.

So far, the burglars have gotten away with money, jewelry, guns, and other items.

Police have not yet made any arrests.

The burglaries have all happened on different times of day.

Some of them have even been in broad daylight.
