Governor Beshear made a quick stop at Hazard City Hall Tuesday night before a town hall meeting at Perry County Central High School.
Through the Community Development Block Grant program, Beshear presented a $500,000 check to the city that will be used for the construction of a new hospice facility.
“Well, this is the first step in many steps that we're going to need complete this project, but it's something that Eastern Kentucky and Southeastern Kentucky's needed for many years,” says Monica Couch, Director of the Hospice of the Bluegrass Mountain Community.
