Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
On Tuesday, August 12 police arrested 23-year-old Matthew Feck of Richmond in connection with an overnight crime spree, in which they say he burglarized six businesses.
Matthew Feck is currently lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond, charged for six counts of Burglary Third Degree, and Receiving Stolen Property.
The break-ins happened at Richmond Motors, Domani's Italian Restaurant, Casa Café, Employment Plus, Audio Center, and CitiFinancial.
Police say Feck also took tools from a vehicle parked at Aaron's Sales and Lease, for which he received his Receiving Stolen Property charge.
Employees at Richmond Motors say no items were stolen because they believe their security system scared Feck away, but the system was ripped from the wall.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken from Domani's Italian Restaurant and CitiFinancial.
A camera was stolen from Casa Casa Café, subwoofers from Audio Center, and a computer and other items from Employment Plus.
The crime spree happened between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Most of the businesses had damages from doors being forced open and glass being broken to gain entry.
