A driver is in the hospital after she hit a tree early Friday morning and narrowly missed crashing into a Lexington home.

Police say the woman was driving down Greentree Road, off Armstrong Mill, when she lost control and spun around.

The back end of the car hit the house.

Police say there was no damage to the house.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.

I think when WKYT changed their website, this entire forum got royally screwed up. There are comments on this page on just about every story from the past 5 days. It's hilarious reading from one to the other and not knowing what will be next.

What happened to people commenting about the story above? A car hit a tree and a house- why are there comments about everything but this story??

I love the phrase "lost control." Was she driving "Speed Buggy?" Did he jerk himself loose of her and take off of his own accord?

I thought this was the comments for the story on the car hitting the tree. Guess not.

This is a hard thing for both familys to deal with.I was a abused wife, yes the fear off not being able to make it on your own,or being able to feed your children.some men will use your children against you, then you think if i leave and he has my kids, they may end up in the same hell i`ve been living in.yes the thought of killing him or even praying to god he would have some kind of accident, just so you and your children could live a normal life.mental, physical or any other abuse is wrong, but you never know what someone is going through unless you live it.i finally got the nerve to move to another state.but it only got worse, all the court papers you can get isn`t going to stop someone if they want to kill you bad enough.lucky for me things got better after years of hell but not everyone gets a second chance.one poster that sticks in my head was! she was beat daily recieved flowers once, unless you live someones abused life don`t judge them.may god bless both of these familys.

This is a funny story. I was actually at the mall the day she was escorted out. When I first seen her in the mall, my wife and I started cracking up laughing because the dress was way too tight. It was definitely a borderline case. Furthermore, someone complained to the security guard and when he went to access the situation, the lady began using vulgar language. She quickly made it a drama scene.

Thank You Governor Beshear. As a parent I hope you look into affordable instate tuition for our children. It's been a struggle to educate my child over the last few years. It really irritates me when you see such HIGH salaries for UK and our children that wants an education has to suffer. Also, UK needs to look at those graduates that wants to continue on to higher professional level to be able to scoot over to their medical/pharmacy programs. Several UK graduates tried to get in these programs and were denied. If's it OK to go to UK college then those students should be FIRST choice to further their education. Again, Thank you Governor Beshear......

I agree this is sad thing but to say that a family living in a trailor are trash is a very narrow minded thing. I work very hard five days a week and support my three childern. My wife does not work because of fear for our kids in the general public like YOU!!!! People in houses abuse kids too. So get off your high horse mister!

It's not a good idea to go breaking down doors and invading someones home, but on the other hand at least the cops used some common sense this time and didn't give chase to someone who was already a potential traffic hazard. Police chases endanger everyone out there.

Posted by: Jon Location: KY on Aug 16, 2008 at 04:42 PM
The police don't want to enforce these silly rules on game day. Its ridiculous request that the mayor has passed down the pipes. The police are already short on their regular patrols and this is just going to make things that much worse. They wonder why so many police officers leave Lexington for other jobs in the state, its crazy.

A visitors center in Corbin would be a great thing, but it needs to built somewhere other than land owned by the local realitor. Does the city of Corbin really needs to promote this person's bad habits? Is it not bad enough that every week we read about something he has done or something happening at one of the places he owns? This person is not above the law, but I guess in Corbin money does make a difference.

Yet another reason to NOT live in Fayette County and live in a place where your property is YOURS and not the government's. If you put your money into the property, and you want to let someone park in your yard for 3 hours 5 times a year, then who does the city think they are to tell you that you can't? Remember, YOU are the one paying the taxes to allow them to write these codes and such, yet they are taking more and more of your freedoms away from you. Homeowners Associations and government "code enforcement" laws are nothing but an attempt to have a society controlled by a few people who think they know better than everyone else. Vote them all out of office and demand change and you will get it. Sit around and do nothing and watch your property values truly drop because no one wants to live in the city of Big Brother where what is yours is everyone's, if I did I would move to China where it is all controlled by the govt.

How dumb can anyone be to want this man back in office. Let his guilty pleas speak for him, and don't try and gain votes by saying you are a wee bit of kin to the fomer magistrate Jim Neace. Sherman could not and never will be able to hold a light to Jim. Take yourself out of the race Sherman and don't let the county be a laughing stock of the state.

I know who this girl is and I really suspect that when and if the mall has their say that we will find out that there is more to the story. She may be pretty on the outside, but she is not so pretty on the inside. She will get defensive and "go off" on people in a second when something is said to her that she doesn't agree with. She wore very revealing clothes to school and when someone would tell her that she was not in dress code she would often cuss them out like a sailor. So, I am wondering if she was really thrown out because of her clothing or because of the way she reacted. I will be interested in seeing how this plays out once we hear more from the mall.

Maybe if the University had better parking for the games and didn't make it so hard to get a parking pass, then we wouldn't have so much illegal parking during the games! By the way, if the cops are out patrolling for illegal parking violations, then who's gonna be arresting all the fans running out on the field when we finally take down Spurrier this year?! LOL!

The mother (if that is what you want to call her) should NEVER get her children back, these children did not ask for, nor deserve to live like this, I think about all the people in the world who cannot for various reasons have any children, and then people like this women get blessed with having children and treat them this way. It is pathetic how people have no compassion for a little child, a sweet innocent little child, what is wrong with these people. I hope the children are okay, and I hope Social Services keep these children away from this women. The adults were asleep when the police arrived, probably knocked out from drugs or a party the night before. what a shame lady, you should have to wear a dirty diaper until the skin on your trailer trash behind is worn off and raw!!!!YOU ARE A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A MOTHER!!

If she wants to sleep all the time and not care more about her children she needs to give them to someone that would, OH I FORGOT, then she wouldn't get welfare or food stamps to get her drug of choice......The children are the ones that suffer from abuse like this, there are to many housing projects available, this child does not have to live in a place like that, it is totally uncalled for. They need to get her help for whatever her problem is, but put the kids in a safer and more loving place, our children are gifts from God.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Richmond on Aug 15, 2008 at 11:39 PM
The "dress" is actually a SHIRT. I work at the mall and have seen the garment in question and there's no way anyone but a midget could wear it as a dress. I'm about as liberal as they get around here but if her right to wear what she pleases infringes on my right to not be exposed to something like that, she's in the wrong. If she's really going to sue over this, she'll lose.

Posted by: Rachel Location: Ashland, KY on Aug 15, 2008 at 11:13 PM
I agree this is horrible and inhumane, but I take offense to the trailer trash comments. Do you think she would be a better mother if she lived in a house? I grew up living in a trailer and we were very clean and worked hard. My brother and I are both college graduates, so living in a trailer makes no difference in what kind of person you are.

This is despicable. There are too many couples out there that would love to have had this child, that would love it and give it everything. She looks to be so drugged out that she didn't even know that she had a baby or any other children. I think taht they should put a dirty diaper on her and let her wear it for the rest of her life. and maybe put one on her head too. I hope that the system can see that she never gets any of this precious children again. There is a special place in hell for her.

I believe he was very much so impersonating a police officer, once again. If anybody watched the whole hearing on him back in 2006 you would see that once again Cromer was in the wrong. Oh well, I hope Cromer gets what he deserves, NOTHING. DUI, this is justice. What goes around, comes around. Seems like this has bit him in the a..

To Angel, these people can not be kind hearted to be helping kill our children. So he might not let anyone go hungry but you don't need food when you are six feet under from a drug overdose of pills you bought from this man. Yea that is what I call a kind hearted person how many pills have you bought from him in the past? Maybe you need help also

What in the world is wrong with a young lady wearing what looks like to me a nice short dress(shirt? who cares?)that evidently shows she has nice legs to go along with her good looks? I've seen much shorter dresses worn by other girls in public; yes, even in poor backwards Richmond. The powers that be at Richmond Mall need to worry more about keeping businesses in the Mall other than sticking their upturned noses in other people's business.

the blame went on the person that hit him, he was doing the right thing it was just a blind spot...

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Irvine on Aug 15, 2008 at 06:39 PM
I personally go to the Richmond Mall often, they are always kicking random people out for no reason, they are power hungry. They told my friends to leave because they were, "Fags", the cops said there was nothing they could do about it though. The security guards are just power hungry, I guess kicking people out makes them feel bigger than they are. I wouldn't wear a dress that short, but its America, we can do what we want.

Who are we to decide death automatically? I agree that this case makes me angry and that he deserves punishment. But God is the ultimate decider of our fate. He'll get his just punishment in prison and in the afterlife.

I thought this was America and we were free to wear what we want to. As far as, everyone judging her character I believe you better pick back up your BIBLES. It says, Judge not unless you be judged. In other words no one and this includes the people who attend church, has the right to judge her by her outfit. Besides you dont see anything of her personal areas to begin with and it sounds like to me that some women are the jealous ones cause they can no longer turn there husbands heads. Grow up Kentucky!!!!

They sell many items in the mall including underwear and condoms but that does not mean anything sold there is appropriate to wear there.

Cleanliness has NOTHING to do with bedbug infestation. From fleabag motel to 5 star hotel, from public housing to senior housing to luxury cruise liners, from apartments and police stations to $15,000/month coops, they are all vulnerable. Please educate yourselves!

Two people are hurt and all you can say is that women aren't smarter than men...WOW! That's what's wrong with us these days. We don't just say we're praying for you or anything like that it's something smart & another word that I can't put on here! Anyway I hope these ladies are okay. i've been on that road and that bridge is tricky. Oh and I was driving my own 4-wheeler!

Keep proving our point. The word grammar does not have an "e" in in, therefore, you spelled it wrong. Of course, you probably think grammar is the person you visited at Thanksgiving. You tool!

If it's good for District 3, then it's good for all Districts, including District 11 (Cardinal Valley, Gardenside, Holiday Hills). Give Code Enforcement something to do. BTW: Newberry is doing all he can to discourage students at UK and business in Lexington. Go figure! He's a true blue democrat, not a True Blue Lexingtonian.

I see nothing wrong with her dress, it would earn her all kinds of money at the strip club, I should know, I dance and I have enough common decency not to show my stuff in front of kids, save the a** showing for the paying customers, honey!

This makes me sick....Lock her up and keep her there....Jail is not the answer put her in boot camp for a long time. In jail you get TV, phone, good food....To much relaxing goes on in that jail cell....Drugs are there too.....I just wish social services would have come out and checked on my child that had set in a diaper all day long in a local program for young children in our community. The call was made and nothing was ever done. I marked the diaper with a marker before sending him to school and he came back with the same diaper on. With poop and pee all in it. It hung to his knees.....Social Services needs a great big over haul too.....

I feel so sorry for all the little children that have parents like this. This show you how much drugs are messing up people, especially when they have a family to take care of

I saw the photo of the girl in the "dress". The store is right she is wearing a shirt. What would possess her to wear it other than to attract attention? She is no Brittany Spears, and thank god we don't have a photo of whether she has panties on or not, but anyone who would wear that skimpy short piece of cloth in public should be ashamed...ask her mama. Put some colthes on, less is not more, except shameful.
