Grief Counselors On Hand After Teen's Train Death

The school year is less than 2 weeks old and already the students are dealing with the loss of one of their own.

The Pulaski County Day Treatment Center is where 15 year old Christopher Johnson went to school. Police say Johnson was killed Saturday night when he and a friend were walking along train tracks and Johnson was hit by a train.

Today grief counselors are talking with Johnson's friends and classmates.

Officials say they are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the students. Yet as completely flexible for any kid who wants to take the time to process through their grief and have discussion.

The accident remains under investigation by police, Norfolk Southern Railroad and the coroner's office, but police say they don't think it was anything more than just an accident.

The state medical examiner is performing an autopsy on Johnson's body in Frankfort.
