Judge's Ruling Stops Early Prison Releases

State corrections officials are scrambling after a judge tells them to stop letting some inmates out of prison early.

A Pulaski County judge issued that order Monday after a commonwealth's attorney asked for a restraining order on the early releases.

Attorney Eddie Montgomery says while the state is trying to save money it's actually putting Kentuckians in danger.

The order applies to Pulaski, Rockcastle, and Lincoln counties. A statewide order will be considered next week.
