SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Highway 460, also called Frankfort Road, is currently closed following an accident involving a tractor trailer, a truck, and a SUV.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. Friday, not far from the Franklin County line.

People living in the area heard the crash, they described it as a big boom.

"We saw a car that wrecked on to a pole. The lines of the pole were waving around," said Elizabeth Hernandez.

Police say the driver of the tractor trailer lost control, then hit a car, and a SUV, before hitting a utility pole.

Police say the driver of the tractor trailer had serious injuries, and was taken to UK Hospital. Three people in the other vehicles were also injured.

Police say Highway 460 is currently closed at the scene of the crash. The road will likely be closed until 6 a.m Saturday.
