Serial Bank Robber Strikes Again

Investigators are trying to track down a serial bank robber who is wanted for nearly 20 hold-ups across the country, including six in Kentucky.

Police say the "Plaid Shirt Robber" hit Tuesday morning in Charleston, West Virginia.

Police say the same man hit a Lexington bank. In that robbery, investigators say the man walked into the PNC Bank on Harrodsburg Road this past New Year's Eve, implied he had a weapon, and took off with cash.

They say he also held up the Republic Bank near U.S. 127 in Frankfort in June of last year.

Investigators say the plaid shirt robber also hit in Louisville, Elizabethtown, Franklin and Crescent Springs.
