Hundreds of students logged on to their accounts to find their schedules weren't there

Just a week before classes begin, a computer glitch is causing some problems at the University of Kentucky.

School officials say that glitch affected hundreds of school schedules. The school spend all day Wednesday working to fix that problem.

UK officials say some sort of computer error impacted the accounts of 947 students. Those students could log on, but were not able to access their schedules for the fall semester.

Some students were concerned that their schedules had been erased, or that they would have to re-register.

UK officials say the schedules were in tact, but had to individually restore the accounts so students could view them.

The schedules were expected to be fixed by 5:00 this evening.

Haley, it would be newsworthy if you were one of the 947 who was unable to access your schedule and had no idea why. Just exactly would you like them to report?

I was one of the students whose schedule was gone! Thank god they fixed this! I was so confused when it showed I wasn't signed up for classes and I knew I had!!!!! Why is school so stressful!!!!

it's newsworthy if you were one of the students about to not have a schedule!Or a parent like me paying for your child's education, only to see their schedule get messed up and not get the classes they need to graduate! I would have been upset if my child's schedule got erased and they couldn't get their classes back!

Please note that it is "affected", NOT "effected", in the story's third line.

I appreciate all the efforts of the staff at UK that helped in getting this issue (glitch) corrected. It's staff like this that makes UK a great place to work. Thanks to those who discovered the glitch and thanks to those who help get it resolved.

Iwonder if this glitch was a human error or an error with SAP.

Is this really newsworthy?
