She claims some children are causing too much trouble in her city.
But Richmond Mayor Connie Lawson, along with other city leaders, say they have a solution: imposing a curfew for those under 16 years old.
The plan will be discussed at next week's city council meeting.
Lawson says there have been several vandalism cases lately, involving children. Just a few weeks ago, children were charged with causing $50,000 dollars worth of damage at Tri-County Fertilizer.
Lawson says a curfew would help, and city leaders are now hammering out the details.
Richmond city leaders say neighboring cities like Berea and Winchester already have curfews that have been a success.

A curfew would help, somewhat. What would help even more? Force the parents to CARE about what their teens are really doing. Fine them each and everytime their kid gets into trouble, raise that fine more everytime that same kid gets into more trouble. Then, maybe, just maybe mom and dad will care enough to CONTROL their own children. Till the parents give a rats behind about what trouble their kids are doing, nothing will change.
