Richmond Considering Curfew For Children

She claims some children are causing too much trouble in her city.

But Richmond Mayor Connie Lawson, along with other city leaders, say they have a solution: imposing a curfew for those under 16 years old.

The plan will be discussed at next week's city council meeting.

Lawson says there have been several vandalism cases lately, involving children. Just a few weeks ago, children were charged with causing $50,000 dollars worth of damage at Tri-County Fertilizer.

Lawson says a curfew would help, and city leaders are now hammering out the details.

Richmond city leaders say neighboring cities like Berea and Winchester already have curfews that have been a success.
