New High School Closed Due To Flooding

Summer vacation has been extended for two days for some students in Harlan County after a sprinkler problem.

School was called off Monday and Tuesday at the new Harlan County High School building.

AA small fire in a bathroom caused the sprinkler system to go off. There was minor flooding in parts of the building, as well as some electrical damage.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.

All the other schools in Harlan County had class as usual on Monday.
