Woman Remains Critical After Crash With State Trooper

A crash in Laurel County Tuesday night sent three people, including a KSP trooper, to the hospital.

Police say Trooper First Class Parrish Baker was headed to a different accident when his cruiser and an SUV collided at Highway 30 and the Hal Rogers Parkway.

The passenger in the SUV, Ashley Angel, 24, is in critical condition at UK Hospital.

Her husband, Curtis Angel, 26, is stable at St. Joseph Hospital in London.

Trooper Baker suffered a broken hand and has been released from the hospital.

Police say he had his lights and sirens on at the time of the wreck.
