Police at Eastern Kentucky University are trying to figure out who hurt a student at a campus event over the weekend.

EKU officials say 19-year-old Dominique Johnson was treated at a Richmond hospital for a puncture wound to his arm.

We're told he got into some sort of fight while attending a university-sanctioned dance at the Weaver Building Gym.

Johnson was treated for the wound early Sunday morning, but it wasn't serious. He was treated and released.

EKU police are investigating, but so far, there have been no arrests.

University officials say this appears to be an isolated incident and no other students should be concerned about their safety.

A-I am the mother of this victim and regardless of what he did of didn't do does not condone him being a victim of stabbing. So get all your facts before you say something stupid. He was not the only stab victim at that party!! And trust me people from larger cities don't carry knives, they carry guns. So if my son was just what you say, "a tough guy form a large city" then he would have been armed and someone else would have been the victim. He did what most real men do when in a fight, he used his fists!!!!

What concerns me most about this story is that EKU officials stated that "This appears to be an isolated incident and no other students should be concerned about their safety". My child goes to EKU. Should he not be concerned for his safety just because the dance is over? Safety at University sanctioned events should be a high priority and the safety of all of the students should matter - whether or not the incident appears to be "an isolated" act.

A, maybe, but did you ever think he didn't do anything??? Maybe some idiot decided he'd try to act tough and cool in front of his friends and stab him?? There could be tons of reasons this happened, and you don't know the full story, and probably only know what the news has told you, so maybe you shouldn't place blame!?! I hope they catch the person that did this.

Fights dont tend to happen very often on campus. Just being their already reduces the chances of being around idiots. Maybe they need to look into what he said and did to get into such a situation. Maybe hes from a larger city and thinks tough guy acts fly in small towns?
