Mother Charged With Leaving Child In Hot Car

A woman accused of leaving her child in a hot car while she went shopping pleaded not guilty on Monday afternoon.

Tanuja Patel stands charged with felony wanton endangerment.

Police say Patel left her three-year-old son in the car this weekend.

Passers-by spotted the boy and asked workers at a Bed, Bath And Beyond store to call police. The couple says workers at the store refused to help, so they called on their own.
