Scott County emergency crews knew they'd be busy during Sunday's wind storm. But, they probably didn't think they'd be dealing with storm damage on their own property.
A nearly 200-year-old oak tree on the station's property on Cincinnati Road fell across the driveway. Emergency crews were not able to get in or out of the facility for about half an hour. Some calls to the station had to be redirected to other stations in the area until the driveway was cleared.
Firefighters got to work with their chainsaws and some heavy equipment to get the tree moved off to the side of the driveway. Scott County road crews are expected to complete the clean-up.
It's not yet known whether or not another tree will be planted on the site where this tree fell.
