The lights are starting to come back on for thousands of Kentuckians, left in the dark by strong winds.
As of noon on Tuesday, Kentucky Utilities has less than 50 customers without power in Lexington.
Louisville Gas and Electric says power is back for 112,000 customers, though about 189,000 still have outages
And Owen Electric, which serves a large portion of northern Kentucky, says only about 9,000 customers remain without power. That's down from 28,000.
Both companies hope to have power back to everyone by week's end.
The power was knocked out on Sunday when the remnants of Hurricane Ike blew through the bluegrass.
This is being called the largest power outage in state history.
