LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused Republicans of having nothing to offer the country but failed policies of the past during a campaign swing through Kentucky to promote Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford.
The New York senator received a raucous welcome Saturday from about 1,000 Democrats gathered at the Kentucky Horse Farm at Lexington.
Clinton also made a stop in Pikeville in eastern Kentucky earlier in the day.
Lunsford is challenging four-term Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell in the November election.
Clinton told the Lexington crowd that McConnell has "aided and abetted" in eight years of failed policies under President Bush.
