An accident south of Stanford in Lincoln County left a truck driver seriously hurt when his tractor trailer ran off the road and overturned, spilling a massive load of garbage.
Police say the driver, Roy Hatton, suffered arm injuries. Firefighters say he was trapped inside the cab for 40 minutes before he could be freed.
Hatton was airlifted to UK Hospital but officials say his injuries were not life threatening.
It took hours to clean up the trash that was dumped in a field just off Ky. 3249, also known as Skyline Drive.
