Man Claims Doctors Wrongfully Removed His Penis

A Shelby County Couple is suing two doctors who they say amputated a man's genitals without asking him first.

According to the Sentinel News, the malpractice suit alledges Phillip Seaton went into surgery for a circumcision but he woke up without a penis. Seaton's attorney tells a Louisville T.V. station that Doctor John Patterson told his patient he found cancer. Seaton says the surgery wasn't an emergency and he wasn't able to give his consent.

Doctor Oliver James is also named in the lawsuit because he administered anasthesia.
