$2 Million In Projects To Improve Lexington

The face of Lexington is changing and for some it may begin to look like a throw back.

This morning city leaders announced a plan to revamp some of Lexington's most congested roads and it includes bringing trolleys back to downtown.

Governor Steve Beshear approved over 2 million dollars in state grants for four projects in Fayette County.

The projects include a downtown trolley circulator, illuminated street name signs, a rail trail bridge in Brighton Place near Hamburg, and for Share The Road Campaign.

Governor Beshear says the investments will help maintain and improve the overall quality of life for those in Lexington.
