Murder Suspect Takes Plea Deal

A man accused of killing his wife, then holding his brother hostage, says he's guilty.

John Todd took a plea deal Thursday morning in a Fayette County courtroom.

He shot his wife to death in their home in March of last year.

Police say the day after the shooting, he went to his brother's office at the Richmond Register and held him hostage for more than an hour.

Todd pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in exchange for a ten year prison sentence.
