Attorney Takes Out Ad Of Apology

There was an usual advertisement in Friday's Lexington Herald Leader.

A North Carolina attorney has taken out the ad, apologizing to families of victims of Comair flight 5191.

The Kentucky Supreme Court ordered Joseph Anderson to make the public apology for a website he put up shortly after the August 2006 crash. The site appeared to offer counseling for grieving families, but really advertised his firm.

Federal law prohibits lawyers from making direct contact with family members until 45 days after an accident.
