A principal faces charges after police say they arrested him for driving drunk.
Madison Middle School principal Bradley Winkler was pulled over early Saturday morning on Lexington Road, north of Richmond.
The Madison County Sheriff says Winkler was driving erratically, crossed the center line several times, and went through a stop sign.
When a deputy approached his car, the Sheriff says Winkler smelled of alcohol and failed all sobriety tests.
Court papers show Winkler had a blood alcohol level of .19.
Madison County School District officials say they do not comment on issues involving personnel.
But they did confirm Winkler is still the principal at Madison Middle.
