MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - A second person has died from injuries suffered when a home in southwestern Kentucky exploded.
The blast on the evening of Sept. 14 immediately killed 71-year-old Kenneth Story and injured four others, who were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
A spokesman from Vanderbilt told The Murray Ledger & Times on Saturday that 70-year-old Barbara Parker of Murray has died from injuries in the explosion.
Vanderbilt said that 60-year old Ira Greer of Almo remains in critical condition, 41-year-old Melissa McLeod of Hazel is listed as stable and 54-year-old Marty Story has been released.
The Kentucky State Fire Marshal's office has said the most likely cause of the explosion was a leak in a liquid propane line under the home.
