KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - As another big blizzard marches across Kansas and Missouri, it's still not done with Oklahoma.
The state Department of Transportation says whiteout conditions are slowing road-clearing efforts in western Oklahoma, where the storm has dropped more than a foot of snow. Highways are closed in eight counties.
About 80,000 homes and businesses in northwest Missouri, northeast Kansas and western Oklahoma awoke to no power with heavy, wet snow weighing on power lines.
Many Kansas school districts have canceled classes today with forecasters predicting accumulations of 8 to 24 inches of snow across the state.
Up to 15 inches of snow or more are forecast for parts of western Missouri.
At least three deaths are being blamed on the storm.
