3 charged with throwing rocks at trucks on Ky. highway

CARLISLE, Ky. (AP) - Three people have been charge with throwing rocks at commercial vehicles on U.S. 68 in north-central Kentucky.

Kentucky State Trooper Stu Recke says 20-year-old Cody R. Baker of Cynthiana; 19-year-old John W. Guy, Mt. Olivet; and 26-year-old Stacey J. Pergram of Carlisle have all been charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

Recke says no one was injured in any of the incidents and information from witnesses helped aid in the arrests.

Nicholas County Sheriff Jeff Sidles says the three men admitted to throwing the rocks when they were questioned.

"They said they was just having fun," he said. "I can't believe putting several people's lives in danger could be fun, but evidently they don't think the way everyone else does."

Sidles says he plans to press more charges in the case as more victims are found.

They have been lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center in Paris. Jail records did not list an attorney for any of the three men.
