Man Arrested for Girlfriend's Murder

The Laurel County coroner says Christy Hodges' body was found late Thursday morning behind a mobile home on Haley Ridge Road in London.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Department says they were called there around 11:24am Thursday by Hodges' boyfriend and the father of her child, Michael McQueen. Deputies say McQueen told dispatchers he had killed his girlfriend. They say when police got to the scene, McQueen was covered in blood.

The coroner says Hodge was shot once. He says he doesn't know how long she has been dead. An autopsy is being done Friday on the 32-year-old.

I have known them both and I really thought alot of both of them I am sure that it was a accidental shooting and I am sure the families of both of the victims are very hurt and saddened.I Love You Both Christy and Mike

I knew both also and it is so sad that she went through so many years of abuse from him and now shes gone..Its so sad her children had to endure all this abuse as well and now their mother has been taken from them...TRUELY SAD...

I knew both. They both were close people to me.. and I pray that Christy rest in peace...I pray for both familys during this very difficult time.
