BROWNSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky state Rep. Larry Belcher has
died in a crash with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 65 in
south-central Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police say the 61-year-old lawmaker was killed
when his pickup truck ran into the back of the semi and went up
under the truck.
Trooper Todd Holder says there was no sign of braking at the
scene and that police have requested an autopsy to try to determine
if Belcher may have had some health condition that would have
caused the wreck.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. CDT in Edmonson County.
Belcher was a Democrat from Shepherdsville.
