The search for a Kentucky sheriff's deputy, wanted for murder, is now over. Randall Creek was captured in Waterloo, Iowa.

State Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST, he surrendered peacefully outside a Days Inn Motel there, just after midnight. A tactical team was about to approach Creek's room, when he came out and turned himself in.

On Monday, Creek sent an email sent to friends, police and the media, admitting he shot Debbie Rediess in the driveway of her Smith's Grove home on Sunday morning. He says Rediess broke up with him for someone else.

Creek is being held in the Black Hawk County, Iowa Jail, awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Shows that every organization including law enforcement have the 10% that are not up to par. Sad far both the familys and the Department.

Yes this former official had to make the police work to find him and cost taxpayers money that could have been better spent elsewhere. Course that is in no way to undermine the fact that he took a life. I just absolutely do not know what goes on in some people's head. No matter what punishment he receives it will not equal his crime. The life he took cannot be brought back. His reason.. she broke up with me?? How insane!

Yep, Brian, this is the guy that was gonna give the police a hard time finding him. I'm not a criminal but if I was I would hope I would have enough sense to not start sending out emails to my family, police and the media. Everything and anything can be traced. He deserves severe punishment for what he did to this poor woman and her family. God bless her and her family.

Lol Isnt this the guy that sent the email saying he was going to really make the police work to find them, well dummy looks like you did a sorry job. It was awful ehat he did, and to see his son last night crying his eyes out about what his father had done was heartbreaking. His son was more tore up than the victims son. This sicko ruined two families lives. Just shows sometimes the law is bad too.
