A judge has dismissed charges against a woman accused of falsely reporting a kidnapping in Lincoln County.

Police arrested Julie Knisely and charged her with first-degree hindering apprehension, falsely reporting an accident and obstruction.

Police say she lied about being kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Jesse James Abee, and helped him escape.

However, a judge dismissed the charges after it became evident that Knisely was with police during the time she was accused of helping Abee.

Abee has been charged with kidnapping and other charges.
