A water shortage continues in Magoffin County, but officials say they have no plans to turn off customers' water.
Salyersville city officials say they've received numerous phone calls from people concerned that their water was going to be turned off. Officials say the rumor is false.
However, Magoffin County remains in a state of emergency and there is a boil water advisory in effect.
Officials say the situation has improved but the county still needs at least six to eight inches of rain.
